on April 10, 2010 at St. Joseph's Villa

Every child deserves a hero, but abused children need superheroes!

RACE INFORMATION

The CASA Superhero Run is a family friendly race which will include a kids’ mile for children twelve and under and a 5K race open to all ages. The races will be followed by a family fun event to raise our community’s awareness of the victims of child abuse living locally. All net proceeds from the event will benefit the Henrico and Chesterfield CASA Programs. The CASA Superhero Run will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Villa in Richmond, Virginia.

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded in all age groups based on race results, including CASH prizes to top race performers. Prizes also will be awarded to those wearing the most heroic costumes.

Race Times: The Kids’ Mile race will start at 8:30 a.m. The 5K will follow at 9:00 a.m. Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m.

Registration and Fees: The race fee is $25.00 for individuals and $15.00 for children over five until March 15, 2010. Between March 15 and April 10, 2010 the race fees will increase by $5.00. Children under five are free. Donations for Henrico or Chesterfield CASA can be made online or at the race. Register today at www.henricocasa.org. Advance on-line registration ends on April 8, 2010 at 5:00pm.

Advance Packet Pick-up: To save time on race day - please pick up your race packet on Friday, April 9, 2010 from noon until 7:00pm at the St. Joesph's Villa Administration Building, 8000 Brook Road. You may also preview the course at this time.

The Course: The race will start and end in front of the picturesque St. Joseph’s Villa administration building. Runners will run west through the beautiful campus buildings to Villa Park Drive and proceed down the drive making a u-turn and returning east to the administration building. This is a flat and fast course featuring the beauty of St. Joseph’s Villa’s landscape.

Parking: Parking will be available on the grounds of St. Joseph’s Villa.

Directions: St. Joseph’s Villa (8000 Brook Road, Richmond, VA 23227) is located at the corner of Parham Road and Brook Road with easy access from Interstate 95.

Results: Results will be emailed to participants who provide an email address at registration. They will also be posted at www.runningmotionkids.com and at www.henricocasa.org.

Weather: The event will go on rain or shine. If severe weather arises, we might have to cancel the event. A final decision will be made on the day of the race.
