Donate Your Used Cell Phones!
Ask your neighbors, family, friends, and colleagues for their cell phones and batteries. Through a donation program in partnership with Shelter Alliance, Henrico CASA is collecting used cell phones (with batteries) and sending them for reuse or recycling. Please do not donate cell phone holders, battery chargers, or wires -- only the cell phones and the batteries. In 2006 alone, more than 130 million cell phones were discarded. One cell phone can pollute up to 132,000 liters of water.
